Miracle: It’s just around the corner

This is a subject which I had to think upon before I could pen it down. I had tried writing it many a time but my heart was not with me on this. It’s a movie which I saw yesterday which triggered me and thoughts just started pouring in.

There’s a lot being written on being positive, think positive and about positive attitude. So, I wanted this to be different.

It’s about living in faith or in fear. Both cannot co-exist at the same time. Belief plays a big role in concreting either of the two in a person. And the one-way traffic of building belief is what a person has seen, heard and experienced in his life.

Right from childhood an idea is sown by the parent or teacher and the kid collects and connects enough incidents and evidences to support that. And for that person that idea becomes his belief. That becomes the truth of life. And once a belief takes its place, then no matter what happens around, every thought and action is through that prism. Along with this, all that has been repeatedly seen, heard and experienced also adds on to the belief.

Human mind is funny. Because it always functions in such a way that he’s always proven right. So, the person attracts many more incidents in his life to prove that his belief is correct. Otherwise, how is it possible that one person says he caught cold because he had curd or a cold drink at night, another person haves an ice cream to cure the same problem. And, in a way, both are right. Because it’s their belief.

Similarly, if a person believes that he cannot trust anyone because of a few experiences, the magnifying glass of his mind will be focused at collecting more evidences. And sooner or later, he will get one more incident. On the other hand, the person who believes that the world is a good place will come across people who are genuine, helpful and trustworthy. This applies to any belief that a person has.

Take a look at the usual beliefs that people have:

No matter what I do I put on weight. People always use me.

I am always loaded with work.

I am an unlucky person.

I am not good at relationships.

I don’t have time.

And many more….

You are bound to collect loads of experiences with that belief. Be assured of that.

Now the question is, do I want these results to be repeated? If no, then it’s time to take out some time to check on your beliefs which are helping you to progress and to be happy and also those which are not really helping you in any way. If not, then ain’t it better to change them?

Is it easy to change beliefs? Absolutely not. But if we start today then surely it will change in few months or years and you will experience a blissful life thereafter.

Ways to change an unwanted belief is filtering what you let in through your eyes and ears. Shut down all the information centers which bring in negative information. Start your day and end your day with something positive. It could be a prayer, affirmation, exercise, motivational songs, inspirational movie, playing with your kid or pet, or doing something which you love to do.

If you can shut down from news channels and newspaper’s then great. If not, spend as much less time on that in the afternoon or evening time and please stop dwelling on it. Change your songs selection if the lyrics is negative. Stop watching serials and web series which promotes evil, violence, crime and backstabbing. Replace that and watch something funny before you sleep. Laugh more and consciously take action to have a light and happier mood.

Start looking out for good things that’s happening in your life on a daily basis. Be grateful for the most miniscule thing that is there in your life (it could be that you got to drink a glass of water). Start expecting good things and miracles in your life. Because believe me, in my experience, since the time I took this turn in life, only good things are attracted to me. And my belief today is that “Miracles are waiting for me-Just around the corner. “

It’s your choice today, what do you plan to put in that blank space out of the given options.

“_____ is waiting for me — Just around the corner.”

(Miracle / Panic/ Happiness/ Tension).

I wish all of you to have more faith than fear!!
